PayPal has streamlined the checkout process with a further improvement in its checkout flow. *

For new buyers, opening a PayPal account is now optional. This means they can make their payment, then decide whether or not to save their information in a PayPal account for future purchases. The payment procedure is simplified, which translates into a higher number of successful sales and increased customer satisfaction.

And especially, this upgrade does not require any action on your part. The payment procedure is automatically applied to online payment tools such as the Buy buttons, Donations, PayPal Shopping Cart, as well as our PayPal payment request and billing functions.

Here's how this simplified payment process works :

  • customers enter their name and delivery address ;
  • customers are asked to enter their credit card information, their address and phone number ;
  • (Optional) After checking, customers can choose to save this information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster.
  • Please note that PayPal's fraud prevention measures remain in effect for buyers who use this procedure.. PayPal applies the same techniques to the latter as for other transactions..

If you want to deactivate this function, click on Preferences in Account overview, then on Payment preferences.

*This feature is only available for Premier and Business account holders.
