Among the services affected are iGoogle, Google Mini or Google Video.
Google is continuing what it calls its « spring cleaning in summer » with the closure of 5 services. In the cart include Google Vid&and acute;o and iGoogle, RSS feed aggregator. Although it no longer accepts transfers since 2009, Google Video was still active.
Users have until 20 August to recover their data after which Google Video will be merged with YouTube.
Things will be slower for iGoogle which will remain operational until November 1st 2013. Google cites the emergence of applications that push personalized content to Internet and mobile users to explain that iGoogle ended up losing its interest.
The three other services called to close its Google Mini on 31 juillet, Google Talk Chatback (replaced by the Meebo bar) et l’application Google Symbian Search. (Eureka Presse)
